This was my first cake using the tie-dye technique, used on the board and the name. Overall, it was a fun cake to make, enjoying some “boy” colors for a change :-)

Karen, thanks a lot! The only problem with this technique is that when you try kneading the different colored fondants so they “stick” together, the colors tend to “disappear”. But it did work out in the end :-)

This is great fun!! I like the mix of colours.
I’ve had some success by pulling off pieces of each colour and stacking them up till it’s a pile of staggered colours, then rolling out. And if you twist the colours before you roll it gives a softer look. xx
