Super Mario for my grandson’s 5th birthday. Cake was funfetti vanilla, iced with a combo of easy buttercream plus white chocolate ganache. Filled the cake layers with buttercream and chunks of crushed chocolate cookies. Mario was made using combo of modelling chocolate and fondant. Added blue sprinkles for fun.
Party was in a park on a incredibly hot and humid day. I packed the cake in a soft sided carrier surrounded by insulated cardboard. Bottom of the carrier was filled with ice packs. Cake stayed lovely and cold for 2 hours in the carrier before being cut. The carrier was a life saver.
