Couture Cakers International 2020 presents a beautiful collaboration with the theme: “Islamic Bridal Dresses with Hijab”.

My piece is inspired from a design by Dressmaker Whulyan . All the The 4 cake tiers are Frosted in Royal icing, embellished with sugar crystals for tier 2&3. Base tier is decorated with royal icing piped flowers and leaves to create bas relief . Top tier uses gumpaste for swags and piped interlacing ropes. The floral toppers are Satin Ice Gum Paste using Flower Pro Molds. The Tiers are gilded with gold dust and brushed with super pearl dust.
It is an honor to have been a part of this annual collaboration.
This cake is one of my best survived cake challenges as I was able to manage with limited tools and materials (no fondant!), and working in minimal space due to present personal circumstance..
