Her cake was the showstopper!!!

I had partnered with Lori to make a cake for my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner and she delivered —and then some. I asked her to make a tophat cake with a picture on it and she was fearless. Further, I asked her to “surprise” us with the cake flavors (as she is the professional here, not me) and she did not disappoint.

In the end, the cake looked so amazing at the rehearsal dinner that the bride made her first marital executive decision and asked the restaurant to not cut it and it was saved as THE wedding cake for the next day so the rest of her guests could see Lori’s masterpiece. Not oily did the cake look great but everyone loved the way it tasted as well…..usually one gets one or the other but Lori nailed both —the way it looked & the way it tasted. Even the most cynical New Yorkers at the wedding were impressed and there were even a few tears.

Best of all maybe was that Lori was so easy to work with as I had to do all of this via email from the East Coast. Yet, she made it quite easy, was very enthusiastic and her prices were way more than fair. If you ever need a very creative yet delicious baked treat for a special occasion, you would be crazy to use anyone except her….which is a lot coming from me as I tend to be one of those cynical New Yorkers!
