Fireworks in Sugarflowers- 1st place gold Cake International

A few closeups of my piece which won the 1st place Gold in its category @ Cake International 2018 Birmingham. The theme was fireworks in sugar flowers.

A brief interpretation:
Bamboo Spirals- The spiralling rockets reaching for the stars.
Pin Cushion& Ginger flower- a burst of colourful fireworks
Passion flowers- the apogee of burnt fireworks
Begonia, Coleus & crotons – uncertain direction of the fireworks
Lantana and succulents – Sparklers lighting up childrens’ faces
Heliconia -Colour and vibrancy bursting up from the ground

Arati, if I didn’t know that this was all sugar/edible, I’d say these are definitely natural plants from a garden. This is SPECTACULAR (those details are incredible) …..and it leaves me saying OH MY GOD every time I see it. BIG CONGRATS on your huge win.
