This is my version of a beach themed cake. It is a styrofoam base coved in fondant- this cake was designed to practice new techniques.
I wanted to have beach grass as one of my main focal points; I just fell in love by the movement and felt like it hasn’t been showcased before. I made the grass with wafer paper…it was something completely new for me. The fence was also a new technique I tried for the first time after watching a great tutorial. Overall this was such a great learning experience and I’m very proud of it.
