This was my entry for the Austin That Takes The Cake Show! As you all know Im a huge comic book geek and decided to utizilize my art and cartooning background and create a 2D comic book cover with a 3D image. I wanted to recreate the bright bold colors of comic books and make a real vibrant fun piece. All hand painted and drawn with edible gels and tints. Icing images wafer paper to create the torn comic book pages. Hulk is sculpted with Choco pan modeling chocolate. All hand lettered and dusted with Rich and Roxy colors to make it come more alive.
