It is my honour to present to you my humble creation, made for the Incredible India – An International Cake Collaboration. I would like to thank my beautiful friend Tina Scott Parashar for inviting me to be apart of this beautiful collaboration. You are an amazing soul <3

My piece was inspired by a lady by the name of Mastani Bai. She was the second wife to Maratha Peshwa Bajirao. Upon learning more about her, I discovered that not only was she beautiful and courageous, but she was skilled in warfare, literature and the arts.
The texture and branches represent her strength and courage, while the gold, embroidery and embellishments stand for her beauty. The sugar flowers and leaves represent her blossoming from a new Bride, to a woman of strength, devotion and wisdom alongside her husband.
