I’ve been making cakes for Holly’s family for a long time now.
In fact her Dad Mick was probably the 1st proper cake order I had – (a Paul Weller/The Jam cake for his wife Nicky).

I’ve made a Bentley car cake for his big Birthday, and Holly’s daughters Christening and Birthday cakes right from when they were first born.
And this cake is one I’ve been waiting so long to be asked to do, so I was really excited when I was asked to make a Gruffalo cake for Grace’s 3rd Birthday.

I had so much fun with this one, I love the story, and I really like how the cake turned out too.
It’s chocolate sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and milk chocolate ganache.
I know it’s going to be YUM!!

I’m so in love with this… just look at the strong here… the way the mouse is standing and looking up at the gruffalo which you’ve captured perfectly!! I’m a big fan of the books which remain by my grandchildrens bedside still :)
