As some of you will know my absence from this amazing website has been due to the fact that my son lost his battle with cancer in April this year and I’ve been struggling to get back into the swing of things and post my cakes. He fought really hard but the cancer fought back even harder. He was only 26 and used to help me often in the kitchen with my toppers. He was such an amazing son and we miss him terribley. The doctor who was taking care of him was the most amazing doctor we have met, and he had the biggest collection of frog ornaments in his surgery I have ever seen! Each patient that he has treated over the past few decades have brought him a frog ornament as a thank you so you can imagine just how many there are in his rooms! I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a realy live one jumping around somewhere too! I decided to do something a little bit different – a frog cake with edible frogs! He absolutely loved it and wrote me such a lovely thank you letter.
