One in Cold Porcelain one in Sugar: Which one is Which?

Hello, everyone! One of these roses is in COLD PORCELAIN and one is in GUMPASTE. Which one is which?

I made a video where I tried to introduce Cold Porcelain, as someone who’s used to working with Gum Paste, so trying to pick up on all the differences and peculiarities of Cold Porcelain, from ‘as compared to gum paste’ perspective. Check out TUTORIALS, if interested!

Both stunning!! Almost impossible to tell the difference but is the darker rose on the right cp?

Fifi, yes, it is! CP is easier to make more casual, as it holds the shape. As to the colour, it gets darker with drying as is, but, also, I keep forgetting that CP doesn’t have this little yellowish tint to it, so the familiar colours will look differently

Ah! Hooray! Yes I agree with everything you say. Trial and error gets results and you have mastered cp! Beautiful work❤️ I make my own cp using Alan Dunn’s recipe but I cook it in the microwave. I find it improves the texture and reduces shrinking. Looking forward to seeing more of your stunning creations xx

Such gorgeous roses!! Stunning movement and beautifully thin petals xx
Both your sugar and CP are stunning!! I use Alan Dunn cp recipe. Also use Modena and artists soft, depends what I’m making.

You must never limit your challenges, instead you must challenge your limits

They are both gorgeous. Have never tried cold porcelain.

Goreti, if you ever make flowers just for fun or decorate cake for a member of the family , some great occasion, it’s a very good idea, as you get to keep CP flowers, where’s sugar ones will eventually disintegrate. In countries like Russia and Korea ( I think) CP is incredibly popular, in Russia they do repeats of ‘Brides bouquets’ as a keepsake, which I think is incredible and very worthy. Check out my tutorial if you browsing youtube
