This silhouette cake was designed for a trail runner and ordered as a surprise from her boyfriend who simply said she loves running and the outdoors!

The cake has been ombré airbrushed and then the mountain country scene was hand cut from fondant and applied in layers.

I added an extra curved piece of gum paste to the top edge to help accentuate the shape and perspective of the design.
