Inspired by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. For the bottom layer I used edible watercolours on fondant, giving a stained glass effect. Frida’s portrait was painted using a palette knife to imitate the impasto technique, mixing edible colours with icing to get the “faux” oil colours.
