Happy 40 and fabulous birthday to Helen of the wonderfully talented Princess Jade Candy Buffet who loves all things Chanel! When we were asked to create this cake, we were requested to make it black and white but not to include typical Chanel symbols or handbags. Chanel is a timeless, fashion forward and classy brand so we took all these things on board when we came up with this 4 tiered cake (made out of 5 cakes) to resemble the female form. To us, Chanel is very womanly and classic so we were inspired to create a ruffled diamante skirt for the bottom tier, we carved up the second tier to form a bodice complete with ruffles and a bow tie together with roses for the third tier and to top off the fourth tier we added pearls and created our very own facinator to complete the outfit. Do you think we did Chanel justice? We sooooo ♥ Chanel!!.. What girl doesn’t? ♥
