I made this cake for my great-nephew who was 8 this weekend and who is a big fan of transformers optimus prime. It was the first time I had used massa ticino sugarpaste (love it!) and the first time I had tried to incorporate working lights into the cake. The model is built onto a wire armature for strength and the front of the cake is meant to represent the truck from the series. The skyscrapers and flames are just sugarpaste strengthened with gum trag. I lightly airbrushed the whole cake with black at the end to roughen it up a little.
