Thomas the tank engine cake

Teddy was 2ys old this week and he loves Thomas the Tank engine and friends.
The design was inspired by quite a few cakes already created similar to this one.
The top of the cake was designed so it could be taken off and shared with the children at the Nursery where Teddy goes and then the engine on top could be put onto the base of the cake behind the rails and taken home to share with family and friends.

I have to admit to a soft spot for Thomas myself – I’ve got lovely memories of reading Thomas stories to my Son at bedtime when he was young. x
