I just loved making this cake.

It took just over 30 hours to put on all of the individual pieces on the basket to create the weave effect and make the hand sculpted sugar freesias but it was so worth it to give the realistic finished effect
The cake is a 10 inch vanilla madiera cake which is stacked and sculpted and I made it for my lovely cousin Sue for her 60th Birthday I also had the pleasure of attending her birthday meal and it was so lovely to hear that most of the guests thought that the basket was a real basket with real flowers in…what a compliment <3
