BB 8 cake for grandson's 8th birthday

My Grandson Ethan wanted a Star Wars themed cake for his 8th birthday, and wanted the robot BB 8 on it. Thank goodness for Google, and Lesley from The Royal Bakery, since I had never seen the movie, and needed inspiration!

Thank you June! No, the BB 8 figure is made from Styrofoam covered in fondant. Even then, the round shape was very difficult to cover in fondant. My grandson wanted something he could keep, so now he has the BB 8 sitting on his dresser.

It’s fantastic Toni and your BB is fab. I’ve had to do cakes without seeing any of the programme…Google is a life saver lol
