For this cake I was given a real shoe by Irregular Choice plus a birthday card and asked to make a similar shoe but using a pattern like that on the card. This was my very first attempt at a sugar shoe and I loved making it. Both shoe and mask are made entirely from flower paste, the flowers are all hand painted (sugarflair edible dusts and alcohol) – using small flower stamps to make a light impression on the paste as a guideline. Jade is celebrating her 21st birthday with a masquerade party and has recently qualified as a nurse hence the additions to the board.
