All aboard! This cake was designed to celebrate a 75th birthday of a life long steam train enthusiast.
The client didn’t want a fully carved train cake but did want a train represented in some way on the cake. I decided to take iconic elements from vintage steam trains and incorporate them onto a double barrel round base to help give the cake a bit of depth. The lights are finished with isomalt and the cake is airbrushed with metallic paints. The lettering on the side of the cake are the birthday boy’s initials.
