Simple communion cake

I don’t know whether I’m very traditional or a little bit lazy but, given a choice, I’d go for the simplest design 9 times out of 10. My cousin’s daughter is celebrating her first communion this Sunday and this is my present to her. White on white is difficult to photograph well but I still wouldn’t change it. xx

This is stunning, Kizzy! Funny, before I read your message, I was thinking that I preferred to elegant simplicity of this cake to the more elaborate design. You took the words right out of my mouth.

Thanks Goreti and Sandra. I just kinda wondered what other cake makers thought Sandra. Do we prefer the simple life or do we actually enjoy making life as complicated as possible for ourselves? 😄 xx
