This was my piece for the United Nations of Sugar Artists (UNSA) 2nd annual collaboration, Acts of Green, celebrating our planet and all who reside here. My piece was inspired by a beautiful hand created clay sculpture by Mississipi Gulf Coast Artist, Becky Dennis. You can find more of her work here www.beckydennis.com š
The issues facing our planet are vast and overwhelming but by supporting the National Geographic Society, this years chosen nonprofit, we are giving to an organization that has made a tangible effort to help reverse the damage that has been done and educate future generations.
āThe National Geographic Society has been inspiring people to care about the planet since 1888. It is one of the largest nonprofit scientific and educational institutions in the world. Its interests include geography, archaeology and natural science, and the promotion of environmental and historical conservation.ā http://nationalgeographic.org/
