My edible art contribution towards Acts of Green collaboration

My piece is called Hope!

I want to talk about hope. Hope for a better tomorrow, where we can work around the ongoing environmental crisis. Much has been spoken about the problem; let’s think on the lines of a solution.

The intended audience for my piece is young children (adults also count though), children as young as yours and mine. It goes to illustrate how even a tiny baby step can bring about positive change; we have ample opportunities to do so in our day to day activity. It talks about the 3Rs, Reduce (wastage), Recycle and Re-use of resources and the use of renewable resources of energy (Solar panels, Wind turbines, etc.) for a sustainable environmental development.

The simple example shown here is about how a small child can save water from getting wasted which can be collected in a water tank and reused for irrigating what seems to be a barren land and how it starts turning green – depicted to show, how the land is getting charged up with positive change.

I would like to think that is my child up there- her name is HOPE, and she is busy saving the world!
