A friend asked if I could help with her out with a baby shower cake. The theme was spring and sweet peas. Her preference was a buttercream cake rather than fondant, so I went with an ombre buttercream effect. The sweet pea flowers are gumpaste with edible dust colors.

I still have skills to perfect, and I certainly learn more with each cake, but overall I’m happy with the result. :)
