I was very excited to be asked to join this collaboration as I love the show. We are all so sad it has come to an end but Jennifer our leader came up with a fabulous send off. I had chosen a beautiful outfit worn by Lady Cora in Season 5, episode 8. It was the the classic cream and black that drew me to this dress and particularly the embroidered detail on the top. I decided to pipe the pattern. I transferred the design onto an extended tier in order that it could be the focal point of the cake.

I chose to include some other details like a bow on the top from her hat and her beaded necklace as a border on the middle tier. I also incorporated a pleated effect on the bottom tier to resemble the pleats in the skirt of her dress.

To me Lady Cora is cool, calm and the epitome of elegance and I wanted to try and create an elegant feel to the cake.
