My piece is inspired by the stunning avant-gardist creations of designer Krikor Jabotian. His muted colors and avant-garde style and designs capture the elegance and sophistication of modern gowns but he also pushes the boundaries to create innovative, breathtaking and sometimes flamboyant garments. This cake is an embodiment of avant-garde grace. Avant-garde in fashion means unusual and eye-catching details such as the fondant oversized bow and the wafer paper rose here with a touch of asymmetric ruffles. Avant-garde is not confined to fashion only; it can be found in any art form!
