When you’re as sweet as sugar and your mom is a party loving cake artist, the only sensible way to celebrate your first birthday is Marie Ant"ONE"nette style! Let them eat cake!

I made this for my daughter’s first birthday soiree. In keeping with the party theme, colors were blue, pink, white and gold. Marie was handprinted on an icing sheet and attached to a gum paste panel before applying to cake. I used an upside down crown mold for the swags on the second tier. Roses on the cake were made by my dear friend Angela Morrison from Cakes by Angela Morrison.
