Today’s birthday cake! Ordered by a thoughtful husband for his wife’s 50th birthday, it’s a replica of their home in the South of France. It’s carved out of chocolate mud cake, covered in ganache and sugar paste (it weighs a tonne), everything is edible apart from the trees! I even added handmade sugar scorpions to represent the local wildlife and her Star Sign Scorpio! The best bit was the roof tiles, took me ages but quite pleased with the effect.
