My Last Wedding Cake of this Year was for Salma and Michael. Salma is THE BEST bride ever! She contacted me in January to make her Wedding Cake and the moment we met it was like electricity in the air, she is a fantastic young woman and wanted me to based her wedding cake around a previous design I had done but obviously with her variations!
East meet West because she wanted some bits of her Asian heritage in it and then some of her fiancee too. Hence the Roses play an important part on the Cake with Rose water Cake and the bottom tier wrapped in sugar roses of different sizes and then we have gold sequins wrapping the top tier and part of the very extended triple barrel middle tier [ a whooping 12" high!]. The Middle Tier has a shimmering champagne colour to match her Wedding dress and the Henna drawing is actually taken from the Wedding invitations.
