Birthday cake for my dad. He loves cherry pie so I decided to make a cake that looks like one. I did it in a bit of a hurry but it’s pretty true to form for one of my pies as I never do a good job on the crust…..lol.

The cake is vanilla bean cake topped with cherry pie filling & strips of fondant for the pie crust. At first he didn’t realize that it wasn’t a pie :-)
