My submission to Issue 7 Sweet Magazine – The Edible Design collaboration. Fifteen artists created wonderful edible pieces that celebrate fabric and textiles in cake.
My design was inspired by Armani Prive Spring 2016 Couture Runway. I loved the mint green color paired with black and the differing textures that complimented each other! I used Isomalt to recreated the glass beads and embellished them with silver dragees, textured a woven fondant design and onlay shiny polka dots on a matte black background. Finished with a stitched fondant sash and gumpaste dogwoods.
