Cuteness overload yes but the devil was hiding in there for me as this was a lot harder than it looks!
The mother of the lady having the baby shower ordered the cake and wanted me to make this topper that she had seen online (had a picture of a claydough topper) but I tweaked it and changed the colours to suit the customers requirements.
I used wires as supports but the blooming head wasn’t staying in place at all, even after placing sponges under it for hours to keep it in place…..talk about stress! I had the babies hands attached to the horses ears to give a cute effect so when I came down the morning of the day it was being collected…………………………… OH NOOOOOOOOOO blooming head again slipped forward with a hand still attached but arm broken! Gutted :(
So I had to a quick repair job trying to make it look as tho the hand was natural and not in a bent kind of way and put the head back in its position again.
All smiles when my customer came to collect, she even had tears in her eyes but not as much joy as me to get rid of it!
Trials and tribulations of being a cake maker eh!
Thank you for looking x
