This cake was made for a true little fighter, Sebastian was diagnosed earlier this year with wilms cancer. He has since undergone months of chemotherapy and had both the tumour and his kidney removed. Just last week doctors announced he was cancer free he will have to attend regular check ups but should go on to live a normal life. I just know this little boy is going to achieve great things and embrace all that life has to offer.
To make this cake was a true honour as Sebastian’s mum is a caker herself and a wonderful friend. Sebastian’s illness touched me extremely deep as I have a baby only 6 weeks younger than him and have also had a child suffer from cancer. Trish gave me complete free reign over the design and upon collection had tears in her eyes.
The Dr Susse quote I felt was so fitting for this cake and was my main inspiration.
