Now ,I’m not a painter (I’ll leave that to the professionals – aka the lovely Calli from Callicious Cakes 😊), I can’t draw for toffee and have no idea how to mix, shade, paint – end of 😊 so when a customer asked me to do a painted cake for her, I almost cried.
Thank goodness I remembered a stencil I had bought a year previously that I had tucked in away in my cupboard.
It was a massive help and although I can see where I went wrong, I’m always up for a new challenge and will be trying again and again and again to perfect another cakey technique I’ve found I quite enjoy 😊
