After all those years of “fondant flowers” craze, I decided to come back to the begginings and to play with buttercream flowers. I learnt the basics years ago taking Wilton’s classes, but never really used them on a large scale (thinking about them as inferior to their fondant/gumpaste relatives), but oh boy, did I change my attitude. I am totally in love with buttercream flowers!!!!!!! And so we have here:
ranunculus, roses, grape hyacinth , hydrangea, and some filler buds and berries
It’s beautiful. Sometimes it’s nice to go back to basics. Buttercream flowers are a struggle for me but every once in awhile I give it try.
Beautiful….and just as lovely as any gumpaste flowers…
