Some cakes are so much fun to make! This was for a couple celebrating 50 years of married life,how marvellous in this day and age! They had lived and worked in South America at the start of their marriage and have travelled extensively since.Their hobbies include walking and photography and I was asked to include these elements. I struggled with the fondant straps on the case as it was so hot and they were drying and cracking-very annoying! I decided they went with the vintage feel of the cake in the end and maybe have the look of old worn out leather,lol! The customers loved it and that is always the main thing,isn’t it?
