Here’s a birthday cake I made where the customer asked for a colour scheme of deep reds, purples and lilacs for the flowers. She gave me a variety of her favourite flowers to select for the cake. Inside is my chocolate sponge with rich chocolate buttercream.
The sugar flowers are: roses, sweet peas, freesias and hydrangeas. There are piped wisteria and ivy leaves on the side and base of the cake.
