Catherine is a dear colleague of mine at work who’s helped me a lot for three years and counting. When asked what she’d like for her big 5-0, she first wanted flowers on a cake. Later, she changed her mind to Pooh and Harry Potter. I had such a difficult time trying to marry them together until I stumbled across the photo which I posted earlier on Pinterest. Not only did it give me huge inspiration, but I was hugely excited and amped making this cake.
I enjoyed making this figurine and the very cute embellishments on this cake. And his little Hunny pot under his magic spell. Cath loved it, and without a word of a lie, I literally “whipped it up” in a matter of days.
Cake was a buttermilk chocolate cake, with dark chocolate ganache and yummy raspberry buttercream.
