When Louise asked me to join her on this collab I couldn’t say no what a fun theme. I struggled to pick something I really wanted to create and watched the movie time and time again for inspiration then I came across a picture of pinocchio as a puppet. I decided I’d push myself to new limits and make him standing. He stands 20 inches high i have included a picture of him with my 7 month old little girl to give him some size scale. He is made from vanilla sponge and rice Krispy treats. I covered him in white fondant before painting him by hand just as Gepetto does in the film. I must say as he came to life I fell in love. Thank you for looking and I hope you love him just as much as me xxx

Welcome to our collaboration celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the release of Pinocchio in the UK. Back in 1940 the film was released into a different country each month and it took more than a year to be released around the world….oh how times have changed. We are only a group of 13 and I just asked everyone to interpret the theme in their own way by picking a character, a scene or being abit more abstract. Thank you for coming to see our creations and we all hope you enjoy the show……….
