Stuart Weitzman Sugar Shoe

With all the wonderful sugar shoes that are flying around I am feeling a bit nostalgic. this is the first sugar shoe topper that I did a few years ago. It’s entirely without moulds (there weren’t really many moulds about at that time). It’s a replica of the recipients favourite pair of shoes that she wore to her 50th birthday party here in the UK. She didn’t have enough room to carry both the model of her and the shoe in hand luggage back to her home in New York, so she left the shoe with me to use in displays. So this sugar shoe is still sitting on my shelf and I see it most days! I laugh now when I remember first seeing a picture that the client sent to me. Rainbow Python print heels …..I nearly fell of my chair in fright! Great to see all the amazing shoes out there today. Susan x

thank you so much! I can’t tell you the blood sweat and tears it took to work out how to get the shapes right and then fit together without tearing and cracking. At the time it was a MASSIVE leap up from what I had been making before and it was touch and go as to whether I would achieve it. :)
