Sorry I have been MIA from CD for a little while, sooooo many beautiful cakes to catch up on!!!

I was so excited to be asked to participate in this collaboration for Sweet Magazine, the collaboration was based on the Australian Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake book, all us Aussie Kids adored and would flip through its pages until we found the cake we wanted mum to make.

The idea was to re-invent a traditional Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake (I also have posted the original WW cake design) . We were each assigned one of these iconic cakes, I received The Good Witch and I must say it was a little daunting to tackle something that has been part of so many peoples childhood memories.

Thanks to Lisa from Sweet Disposition Cakes who was guest editor and brought together some amazing cake artists for this project. x
