Happy Easter Everyone, I was honoured to be part of the Painted Easter Collab, where a group of Sugar Artist from around the world got together to celebrate all things Easter. The conditions were to produce a piece that included hand painting somewhere and a hidden egg. Artists are from all over the world, all abilities, and together made something wonderful.

I tried to incorporate two meanings of Easter into my cake design – New Life and the custom of the Easter Bunny. I also wanted to represent Spring by showing the vibrancy of a bright sunny meadow with flowers bursting through after a dark winter.
The Easter Bunny peeks through the leaves after hiding an egg and there’s lambs jumping for joy. It’s topped with a big fat yellow chick who is also hiding an egg under it’s wing.
