The little pirate figures are plastic toppers but the rest is from fondant. I feel like I cheated but I had to squeeze this cake in and didn’t have time to make the figures. I was sweating bullets hoping that the mast with the sails would stay up (heavier on one side). I ended up filling the hole I stuck it in with melted chocolate before putting the mast in.
