I found the inspiration for this cake from Hera Bridal 2015 couture collection. I fall in love at first sight with this gown! maybe again and again after that ^^. How intricate and grand ! The designer is kind and happy for me to use this and translate into a cake so here it is!
I use a variety of nature and flower lace molds to create the top tier. For the second tier I use brush embroidery technique which then painted with metallic food coloring. I added the pearls, hand-made sequins one by one. Surprisingly that was therapeutic !
Planning and researching on how to come up with something like the gown took lots of time. Decoration itself took me about 15 hours over 3 days.=)
