What a privilege to be invited to be part of this valentine collaboration, “Love Around The World 2015”. We had to represent a country of choice, so I chose Kenya. The design also had to be a gravity defying/ 3d structure design.
Love Knows No Boundaries:
The inspiration for my Valentine cake, in summary, came from an article I read about a white lady who left city life to volunteer in an orphanage in Kenya. She soon fell in love with a Masai Warrior, embraced their culture and lifestyle.
This piece really took it out of me, especially when I had to make over 3,000 tiny gumpaste beads for the Masai necklace! This took about 6 days.
All the same, I’m so happy I was able to create this beautiful piece of art.
Hope you like it, and thanks for looking!
