Of every cake I’ve made to date, I have to say this is by far my favourite. I just love the combination of lavender and rosemary, topped by small pretty roses. My house and the cake smelled amazing with the aroma of lavender and rosemary. I almost killed myself by accidentally gulping down the left over water from the lavender and roses I had sitting in a glass – but luckily after a day of feeling queezy I live to tell the tale! The cake was a vanilla cake laced with a sugar syrup and filled with my special cream filling and home made jam. I had such a beautiful response from the lucky birthday girl and I am thankful to her for ordering this and asking for lavender and rosemary as her main stipulation. I must give a big shout out to Danijela from Lilchick Cupcakes who gave me the time and advice about naked cakes since I have drooled over her amazing creations – couldn’t have done it without you Dani.
