80th birthday Radley bag for my Mum

This is a busy time in our family for birthdays – and cakes for me. I’m just a hobby baker but start to feel like I live in a bakery!
Not often though that you get to celebrate such a special one.
The theme was easy as my Mum is a Radley addict – bags, watches, purses, umbrellas, scarves even her bus pass holder! I’ve been saving it especially for this 80th birthday.
I loved the Radley dog cutter so much I got sort of carried away and made cookies which went down a treat with all the children – and the adults got to take home doggie bags!!
I think the photo shows she loved it – she carries the picture round in her handbag (Radley of course) and shows anyone and everyone she can pin to the wall – the zip is her favourite part lol!

(isn’t it a shame that our family’s birthday’s aren’t even spread throughout the year – life would be a lot simpler wouldn’t it! ;-) ) x

So true Julia – very bad planning. I have 9 between 30 Sept and 8 Dec…..and then it’s Christmas cakes as I’m official maker for these as well!

This is a beautiful cake, I should know a good Radley when I see one, like your mum, I am a huge fan of the brand. I love the added touch of the scotty biscuits too.
