Another rather large cake, this time it needed to feed 60 so I carved it from four 13×9″ chocolate slab cakes and layered them with salted chocolate buttercream. The sails and treasure map were made using edible paints and wafer paper, and the pirate coins were hand cut and painted gold. It stood 18" tall and 13" long (not including the bow spit!). Happy Birthday Audrey (my beautiful daughter, and my most discerning critic!) xx

Awesome! Love the sails. V clever x
Ha ha love the photo!! WOW its huge!! I just love how our kids are the biggest critics! My eldest walked past my competition cake and commented on how I needed to touch up one of the birds which I was going to do anyway. This is a fab pirate cake, bet it went down a storm with her friends. Ax :)
