18" Vintage Train for an enthusiast’s 50th. All mud cake from top to toe. My brief was ‘he likes trains, I’ll leave it up to you’. Hooray, I love a free reign. This took fifteen straight hours from baking to boxing it up. Quite a few inaccuracies with this one and I had to abandon a lot of the train detail in the end as time simply ran out. Even so, the client was ecstatic with it! After many hours of research prior to choosing this particular model, this is the inspiration I went with. It tied in with his year of birth (1964 – these trains had been taken out of service in 1963 but this one was restored!) :-
Thanks for looking as always!

Brilliant Fi. It was built here in Doncaster where I live actually. I think we may have visited the National Railway Museum a few too many times ;)
