Just loved creating this beautiful sea turtle for a sweet 12 year old girl who wants to be a Marine Biologist. The turtle body & head are rice krispy treats covered in gumpaste & fondant. The flippers are gumpaste. I found a gorgeous picture of a sea turtle in my research that was this beautiful & unusual color combination, so I emulated him in my painting. He is hand-painted with gel, airbrush color & edible dust.

The cake is Lemon Velvet with Lemon Meringue buttercream filling, and palette-painted in American Buttercream icing. The coral & seaweed are isomalt.
